Olathe, KS Full-Time Benefits:

Company-paid dental, vision, and healthcare Paid time off This position is designed for individuals that have welding and fabrication experience in the welding industry, who have a strong work ethic and a desire to learn. In this role you must be able to work independently and meet production deadlines while producing a wide range of fabricated products using a variety of tools and heavy machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

Safe Operations:

Operate machinery with a focus on self-safety and the safety of peers.

Basic Fabrication:

Execute simple cuts, bends, and welds with increasing independence.

Blueprint Reading:

Begin interpreting basic job travelers and technical drawings for accuracy.

Tool Maintenance:

Perform basic daily maintenance on the machinery used to ensure it stays in good working condition.

Workstation Organization:

Maintain a clean and organized work area to aid in shop- wide efficiency and safety.

Visual Quality:

Produce work that is visually clean, correctly measured, and deburred according to specifications.

Efficiency:

Work toward meeting production deadlines as set by the Foreman.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate Job Travelers, ensuring all material usage and time tracking is recorded correctly.

Inventory Assistance:

Help monitor inventory levels of supplies like gas, wire, and abrasives and inform the supervisor if running low. Lead by example and maintain high standards of professionalism and work ethic.

Qualifications & Skills:

Experience:

6 months prior fabrication experience.

Technical Skill:

Basic proficiency with MIG/TIG welding, shears, press brakes, saws, grinders, and other basic tools.

Knowledge:

Understanding of different metal types and gauges.

Safety:

Demonstrated track record of working safely without constant reminders.

Attitude:

Strong willingness to learn and take direction from the Shop Foreman or Lead.

Physical Ability:

Ability to stand for long shifts and regularly lift up to 50 lbs.

Reliability:

Consistent attendance and a can-do work ethic.

Pay:

From $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
