Position Summary Responsible for executing journeyman duties to assist assigned crew. Primary Responsibilities Determines number, size, shape, and locations of reinforcing rods from blueprints, sketches, or oral instructions
Positions and secures steel bars in concrete forms to reinforce concrete
Selects and places rod in forms, spacing and fastening them together using wire and pliers
Cuts bars to required lengths, using hacksaw, bar cutters or acetylene torch
Bend steel rods with hand tools or rod bending machine
Reinforce concrete with wire mesh
Loads, transports, unloads material, tools, equipment, and supplies Qualifications • Minimum 4 years industrial construction/maintenance industry experience Physical Requirements • Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Grasping, Feeling, Repetitive Motions Moving forward together We want our people to be energized and empowered to drive sustainable impact.
