  • Full-time Southern Constructors is looking for experienced Steel Erectors to join our growing team in New Iberia, Louisiana.
Candidates should have structural steel erection experience, be comfortable working at heights, and be committed to safety, quality, and teamwork. Responsibilities Erect and assemble steel frameworks according to detailed blueprints, schematics, and safety standards. Operate heavy equipment and power tools necessary for steel installation and site preparation. Install rebar and reinforcement materials for concrete structures, ensuring proper placement and secure fastening. Perform metal building erection tasks, including framing, siding, roofing, and trim carpentry. Conduct concrete forming, finishing, and masonry work as needed to support structural integrity. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide installation processes accurately. Collaborate with construction management teams to coordinate project timelines, safety protocols, and quality standards. Skills Proven experience in metal building erection and steel framework installation. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings with precision. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding setup, and safety equipment usage. Knowledge of construction site safety procedures along with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely. Strong background in construction management practices with attention to detail in restoration or remodeling projects.
