Job Description Job Description Job duties: Reading and intreperting blueprints,drawings,weld symbols, and job specification. performing structural welding on steel, aluminum,or other materials as required by the jobsite. Using welding processes such as FCAW,SMAW,GMAW, or other processesdepending on the facility requirements. Welding plates, beams, frames,brackets, foundations, support and other structural components. Preparing materialsfor welding,including grinding,beveling,cleaning,fitting, and positioning parts. Following all company and clients safety rules including proper use of PPE. Working in confined spaces, elevated areas, onboard vessels, or shop enviroments as required.
Required Qualifications:
Previous experience as a structural welderin a shipyard, fabrication shop, or industrial setting. Ability to pass a hand-on welding test. Ability to read basic blueprints, weld symbols, and measurements. Knowledge of wleding safety and proper PPE. Ability to use grinders, torches, weldingmachines, handtools, and measuring tools. Abillity to work independently or as part of a crew.
