Job Description

Our family-owned, premier client in Attleboro, MA , is seeking an experienced and skilled Lead Metal Fabricator/Installer to oversee and execute high-end custom metal fabrication and installation projects. The Lead Metal Fabricator/Installer will involve traveling to various job sites to prepare, lead, and complete detailed installations while ensuring exceptional craftsmanship and quality. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, proven leadership abilities, and the ability to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

$30.00•$35.00 per hour
Requirements:
MUST have 5-7 years of relevant experience in metal fabrication and installation. MUST have excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. MUST be willing to travel from the shop to various job sites as needed and obtain a clean driving record. Proven experience in construction site metal fabrication and installation projects. Extensive knowledge of welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and welding. Experience working with carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless steel materials Proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and interpreting fabrication shop math. Familiarity with rigging operations, pipe threading, plasma cutting, press brake machines, machining processes, soldering techniques, and schematic interpretation. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to construction sites and metal fabrication environments. Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of quality workmanship and professionalism. Mechanical knowledge related to sheet metal fabrication, ductwork installation, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and general shop math. Experience working with various metal materials in accordance with AWS standards and ASME codes & standards.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Travel to various job sites to complete custom metal installations. Lead and oversee installation projects, ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently. Install high-end custom staircases, statues, architectural metalwork, and specialty fabricated pieces. Prepare materials and job sites prior to installation. Review drawings, measurements, and project specifications to ensure proper installation. Assemble, fit, align, and secure metal components with precision. Troubleshoot installation challenges and make adjustments as needed in the field. Collaborate with team members, project managers, engineers and customers to ensure successful project completion. Demonstrates professionalism and a positive attitude, even in difficult or high-pressure situations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Provide guidance and leadership to installation team members while ensuring quality workmanship.
