Mobile Engine Test Stand Mechanic 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars 1000 Chrysler Drive, Auburn Hills, MI 48326 Stellantis 9,722 reviews We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mobile Engine Test Stand 2nd shift Mechanic to support Dyno Operations with test properties. This role involves hands-on work with a variety of Propulsion Systems including internal combustion engines, full powertrains, and electric drive motors.
Key Responsibilities:
Install internal combustion engines, full powertrains, and electric drive motors onto dyno test carts. Remove and reassemble external engine components as needed. Assist with catalyst aging procedures and dyno cell exhaust system development. Perform basic welding and fabrication. Support setup and maintenance of engine instrumentation and exhaust components.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma Minimum of 1 experience with welding and metal fabrication Experience with welding MIG / TIG, and metal fabrication
  • Minimum 1 year of experience Ability to read basic prints
  • Minimum 1 year of experience Familiarity with engine and exhaust system instrumentation
  • Minimum 1 year of experience Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with welding MIG / TIG, and metal fabrication
  • 3 years of experience. Ability to read basic prints
  • 3 years of experience Familiarity with engine and exhaust system instrumentation
  • 3 years of experience State or SAE certifications a plus.
