⚙️ Machine Operator - Press Brake & Laser | 1st Shift | Career Growth + Apprenticeship Join a highly respected sheet‑metal fabrication team operating modern Cincinnati and Amada press brakes, laser systems, and other advanced forming equipment. This role is ideal for operators who want to grow into full setup, programming, and even journeyman‑level sheet metal work through a state‑approved apprenticeship program. 🔧 What You'll Do Set up and operate press brakes (Cincinnati, Amada) to form sheet‑metal parts to precise specifications Run laser cutting equipment and metal‑forming machines including LVD Strippit turrets Assist with or learn full machine setups including tool changes and light setup tasks Read blueprints and work instructions to determine dimensions, tolerances, and required operations Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures for part inspection Apply bend knowledge including bend allowances to ensure accurate and consistent formed parts Monitor machine operations , make adjustments, and troubleshoot minor issues Perform basic assembly tasks related to fabricated components Follow all safety procedures in a modern sheet‑metal environment Participate in training and continuous improvement including apprenticeship learning 📌 Essential Skills 2-5+ years manufacturing experience (fabrication, press brake, punch, shear, turret, or machine operation) Experience with light setups or tool changes Proficiency operating press brakes and lasers Blueprint reading ability Strong mechanical aptitude Skilled with measuring tools Knowledge of bends and bend allowances Ability to work accurately, efficiently, and safely in a fabrication environment ⭐ Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with LVD Strippit turrets or similar punch presses Sheet‑metal fabrication experience Interest in apprenticeship advancement toward journeyman status Willingness to learn programming and setup through in‑house training Comfort with continuous improvement and adopting new technologies 🏭 Work Environment 1st
