Fabricator/Installer

Valley Staffing is seeking candidates for a fabricator and installer position. This is a long term, temp-to-hire role. Candidate will be working with team members to provide high levels of customer service, and assist with the fabrication and installation of solid surface products. In this role, the candidate will be using a variety of hand tools, and machinery.

Duties:

Interface with co-workers to coordinate project needs, including metal framework, crating, shipping, and job scheduling Fabricate materials, solid surface and others, according to specifications Promote the highest levels of customer satisfaction Travel to job sites and install solid surface products Maintain sufficient inventory of project materials and supplies Maintain shop equipment, and perform routine maintenance Assist with all other ship positions as schedule dictates Assist with other shop floor tasks as necessary Some forklift operating, and material handling Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills Safety compliance(PPE, knowledge of safety protocols and guidelines, etc) Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs Ability to work in team environment Proficient in use of shop equipment, tools, and fabrication methods Ability to multi-task Ability to work in fast paced environment Strong critical thinking, and problem solving ability Mechanically inclined Must have a valid driver`s license Must have forklift certification, or be willing to receive training

Physical Requirements and Education/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent Previous material handling experience, specifically solid surface slabs preferred Must be able to lift 100 lbs, or slightly more, occasionally Must be able to be on feet for long periods of time Must be able to crouch, stretch, reach, and squat Must have adequate hand dexterity to handle various objects, tools. and machinery Must possess DOT Health card, or be able to pass DOT medical exam

Travel Requirements/Work Environment:

Ability to frequently travel to job site locations for different work related activities including installations, and deliveries Must be ok with driving in a variety of weather conditions, and working outside when at job site When not traveling to job sites, the majority of this position will be spent working in a warehouse and shop environment

Shift:

6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Mon-Fri Some overtime required when requested by management
