Work on a variety of parts as assigned performing sanding operations for correct smoothness to ensure completion of work is to quantity and quality standards.

Major Accountabilities/Critical Responsibilities:

Roll cart/buggy of parts to workstation. Sand wood parts to desired texture as required, breaking sharp edges as needed using a pump, side stroke, lever stroker sander. Use pneumatic orbital sander (jitterbug), and apply light pressure to smooth out the wood parts and frames. Use glue and wood putty to fill-in cracks with a chisel and putty knife. Neatly stack wood parts on cart/buggy as completed keep count of how many parts are completed/needed on ticket. If short, notify team leader. Keep work area clean and neat. May perform other duties/special or non-routine assignments as instructed. One to two years of experience sanding and in a manufacturing setting.
