We are a fast-paced and growing metal fabrication company seeking skilled and motivated Steel Welders to join our 2nd shift team. Our Graham, NC shop is specializing in custom metalwork including handrails, staircases, and architectural components . Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret shop drawings to meet fabrication specifications. Weld and fabricate handrails, staircases, and miscellaneous metal components to high-quality standards. Perform Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) according to
AWS D1.1
standards . Measure and mark material dimensions using tools such as tape measures and calipers. Fabricate, position, align, and fit structural steel parts. Maintain weld continuity logs and certification records. Collaborate with team members to complete projects safely and on time. Perform quality checks on welds and finished components.
Qualifications:
AWS D1.1
Certification preferred Prior experience in welding and fabricating handrails, staircases, and other misc. metals is strongly preferred. Familiarity with
FCAW, MIG
welding processes, and standard welding tools and techniques. Ability to read and understand engineering blueprints and shop drawings. Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. Strong work ethic and commitment to safety and quality.
