Metal Fabrication Position:
Fabricator The sign fabricator is responsible for supporting the efficient operation of ASI Signage, North Carolina's metal fabrication department by producing signs and sign components using mig and tig welding techniques, cutting aluminum and building signs. Responsibilities Thoroughly reviews each work order prior to beginning work. Possess a working knowledge of (sign) fabrication Assist in Quality Control - confirms signage conforms to work order specifications Comprise fabrication plan for each sign, and/or project Consistently utilizes all required safety equipment and procedures in compliance with OSHA guidelines along with ASI safety rules and policies. Adheres to all regulatory compliance guidelines for hazardous waste disposal. Works independently or as part of the overall production team. Available to work overtime and weekends as needed. Performs other duties as required to successfully meet the needs of the business.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of (sign) fabrication preferred. Proven aptitude for working with welding equipment. Can mig and tig weld. Demonstrated ability to work in a very fast paced, deadline-oriented environment. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Expert attention to detail Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously Able to quickly identify problems and seek solutions. Able to communicate effectively and work well with others in a team environment. Ability to work from specifications, shop orders, drawings, cover sheets, samples, and instructions. Physical Requirements PPE is required as follows: Wearing personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, and earplugs, safety shoes and face mask. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
