Job Description
TAB Performance is seeking a skilled Fabricator 2 with a strong emphasis on MIG welding and metal fabrication. This role is responsible for producing high-quality components through precise welding, fabrication, and finishing processes. Candidates should bring hands-on experience or progression from a Fabricator 1 role and demonstrate the ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform production MIG welding on exhaust and performance components with consistency and quality
- Read and interpret measurements using a tape measure with high accuracy
- Execute light machine setup to support fabrication and welding processes
- Operate shop equipment including drill press and hand tools safely and effectively
- Perform hand polishing and finishing to meet TAB Performance quality standards
- Utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers and other quality instruments
- Follow documented work instructions, job aids, and production schedules
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Proactively identify production needs and assist team members as needed
- Ask questions and seek clarification to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all tasks Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven ability to MIG weld in a production environment (primary focus)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and continuously improve fabrication and welding skills
- Ability to follow directions, process documentation, and specifications
- Strong verbal and electronic communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative with minimal supervision Preferred Experience Previous experience as a Fabricator 1 or equivalent hands-on fabrication role Familiarity with performance exhaust systems or similar metal fabrication products Why TAB Performance?
