Job Description:
Fabricate misc. steel pipe and mechanical supports according to shop drawings or engineering details utilizing FCAW or SMAW welding processes and performing these duties in a safe and timely manner with the highest quality possible.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform duties using FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding) or SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding). Perform welds in flat (1G), horizontal (2G), and vertical (3G) positions. (Ability to perform overhead (4G) a plus). Read and understand shop fabrication drawings. Read and understand engineering details. Ability to fabricate and assemble weldments from shop drawings and sketches. Weldments will be in conformance with

Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb, bend, twist, stand and reach repetitively. Operate Various Equipment and Machinery (Grinders, Saws, Drill Press, Forklift, etc.) Keep a Clean and Organized Workplace Utilize personal protective equipment such as masks, welding helmets, welding sleeves, gloves, steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear plugs, etc. Confidently convert fractions to decimal equivalents on the spot as needed.
