  • To Use electric arc tools, gas flames, or oxy-acetylene torches to precisely cut and shape metal structures and plates
  • To plan welding layouts and guarantee precise fabrication tolerances, interpret technical drawings and work orders.
  • Use templates or straight edges to measure workpieces, and check welds for flaws or structural flaws.
  • Keep an eye on the welding, fitting, and burning procedures to avoid material warping, shrinking, or distortion.
  • Perform routine maintenance on cutting and welding machinery to ensure that they operate properly and safely.
  • Clean, measure, and mark raw steel plates, beams, and pipesprior to fabrication.
  • Weld metal components using MIG, TIG, and stick welding, as well as bolting and riveting. Finish steelwork by grinding, polishing, and treating to remove sharp edges before final installation or protective coatings.
