Stickwork Welder

Staffworks Group is hiring experienced Stick Welders for dumpster fabrication and repair work. This role involves heavy-duty welding , structural repairs, and working with thick-gauge steel in a fast-paced shop environment. If you have strong stick welding (SMAW) experience and are comfortable working on large steel containers—we want to hear from you. Responsibilities Perform stick welding (SMAW) on dumpsters and heavy steel containers Repair cracks, structural damage, and worn components Fabricate and reinforce dumpster frames and panels Cut, fit, and weld steel plates and structural components Use torches, grinders, and other fabrication tools Inspect welds to ensure strength, durability, and quality Maintain a clean and safe work environment Requirements Proven experience with stick welding (SMAW) Experience welding thick steel / structural materials Ability to read basic measurements and fabrication layouts Comfortable working in a shop environment with heavy materials Physically capable of lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Strong attention to detail and safety Preferred (Not Required) Experience working on dumpsters, containers, or heavy equipment MIG welding experience (bonus) Fabrication or structural welding background Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent) Click Apply Now to join our team! #swgnewyork #equalopportunities
