As a Prep & Finish Technician , you'll perform precision masking by applying thermal spray barrier tape to specific areas of each part. What you'll do: Precision Masking for Thermal Spray/ Metalizing/ and/or Metal Spray. Post processing unmasking. Read and interprets specification manuals, blueprints, templates, and layouts for product specifications such as tooling instructions, tolerances and dimensions. Translates instructions into actions. Apply thermal barrier tape to specific areas of each part Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments. Inspect quality and accuracy of run work. Participate in continuous improvement of cell processes. Cross train in other complementary skills and seek endorsement for those skills as needed to support production requirements. Participate in the cross training of other technicians as needed to support production requirements. Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions. Carry out other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average workday.
Desired Skills:
Ability to work with hands in tight spaces on fine, detailed tasks. Ability to read, understand and interpret technical drawings or blueprints. Working knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
