Gather and cut raw materials for fabrication. Layout and fabricate stairs, rails, ladders, and custom fabrication items per fabrication drawings. Weld, grind, and clean stairs, rails, ladders, and custom fabrication items (secondary task). Track and communicate status of ongoing fabrication. Operate forklift to transfer raw and fabricated materials. Operate drills, iron worker, band saw, and chop saw to cut and process raw materials for fabrication. Utilize squares, levels, and tape measure to layout and fabricate items. Job Requirements Proficiency in use of power tools such as welders, grinders, drills, iron worker, band saw, and chop saw is preferred but not required. Ability to read tape measure and mark dimensions accurately. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractional dimensions (use of calculator is permitted). Prior certification (welding/forklift) is preferred but not required. Experience in fabrication of carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum is preferred but not required. Attention to detail. Organizational skills. High school diploma or GED. Job Requirements continued Physical capacity to work while standing for full shift. Physical capacity to lift greater than 50 pounds. Uphold workplace safety and attendance expectations. Benefits and Working at Martins Steel Eligible for raise after first 30 days. Annual bonus based on company performance. Quarterly attendance bonuses (up to $500 per quarter). Paid holidays (6 holidays per year). Paid time off after first year with regular increases. Employer sponsored health, dental, and vision insurance. - $200 per month contributed by Martins Steel. Weekly overtime available. 2 paid breaks per shift, unpaid lunch is optional.
