Job Description

Continental Express Inc., is a full service transportation company that specializes in hauling refrigerated food products with a fleet of 550 tractors and 1300 trailers. We are seeking a skilled and dependable Collision Repair Technician to join our team. This role involves fabricating, repairing, and maintaining refrigerated semi-trailers to ensure they meet safety, quality, and performance standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with welding, metal fabrication, and trailer repair, including insulated and foam-core wall systems. This is a
FIRST SHIFT
opportunity working Tuesday to Saturday schedule. Responsibilities Fabricate and assemble semi-trailer components and structures Diagnose and repair structural, mechanical, and cosmetic trailer damage Perform repairs on refrigerated (reefer) trailers , including insulated wall and floor systems Repair and replace foam-core walls, panels, and insulation to restore structural integrity and thermal performance Perform welding (MIG, stick; aluminum welding a plus) Repair or replace floors, frames, crossmembers, doors, roofs, and side panels Perform suspension, landing gear, brake, and axle repairs as needed Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and repair instructions Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely and effectively Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all safety policies and procedures Qualifications Previous experience in semi-trailer fabrication or repair preferred Experience with refrigerated trailers and foam wall repair strongly preferred Welding experience required (certification a plus, but not required) Ability to work with steel and aluminum Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical work Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Valid driver's license required (CDL a plus, not required) Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Quarterly wage increases the first year Overtime opportunities Health, dental, vision, life and short term disability insurance Paid time off and holidays Retirement plan options with company match
