Job Description
Alpha Labor Co. is hiring experienced Steel Erectors / Ironworkers for structural steel and pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) work based out of Oklahoma City, OK. This is a traveling position
- crews work projects across the country and stay out of town for the duration of the job. Paid housing or per diem is provided. You do not have to live in Oklahoma City to apply. We hire from anywhere in the country
- if you are willing to travel, where you live now is not a problem.
PAY AND TRAVEL
$26- $32 per hour, based on experience and skill level Overtime paid after 40 hours 50
- 60 hours per week, typically Monday through Saturday Paid housing OR per diem while traveling Steady work
- we keep our crews moving from job to job
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Erect structural steel and pre-engineered metal buildings: columns, beams, joists, girts, purlins and decking Set and plumb steel, bolt up connections and torque to spec Install roof and wall panels, trim and related components Rig loads and work with crane and forklift operators Work from erection drawings and shop drawings Work safely at heights, tied off at all times, and follow all site safety rulesWHAT WE REQUIRE
Minimum 4 years of steel erection / ironworking experience Willing and able to travel for work and stay out of town for the length of the project Clean background- must pass a background check Must pass a drug screen Valid driver's license Own basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, work boots, gloves, harness) Comfortable working at heights and outdoors in all weather Reliable, on time and able to work as part of a crew
PREFERRED OSHA
10 or OSHA 30 Aerial lift, forklift or rigging / signal person certification PEMB and metal panel installation experienceHOW TO APPLY
