Opti Staffing is hiring an experienced Combo Welder / Metal Fabricator for a growing fabrication shop in NE Portland. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented professional with strong fabrication and welding skills who can produce high-quality work from blueprints and specifications.
What You'll Do:
Fabricate steel and other metal components according to blueprints and technical drawings Perform MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum Lay out cutting lines and material dimensions accurately Use measuring and inspection tools to verify quality and precision Fit, assemble, and weld fabricated metal parts Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe workplace Ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule What's In It for

Have:
Previous welding and metal fabrication experience Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Experience using measuring and inspection tools Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to read a tape measure and work with basic decimals Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety
The Musts:
MIG and TIG welding experience Experience welding stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings Strong fitting and layout skills Reliable attendance and transportation Ability to safely lift and handle materials throughout the shift
Preferred:
Completion of a technical trade program or welding certification Combination welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment Advanced blueprint reading skills Experience with custom fabrication projects
