Your responsibilities
- Tack welding: perform basic tack welding and simple spot welding tasks as instructed by the lead welder or supervisor
- Grinding and preparation: use grinders and cutting tools to prepare materials, bevel edges, and clean welds under supervision
- Material handling: safely move metal stock and completed assemblies using hand carts and appropriate lifting techniques
- Fitting support: assist skilled welders with component fitting and positioning for complex jobs
- Shop maintenance: maintain the cleanliness and safety of the welding work cell, managing grinding dust and metal scrap.
