Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Structural Ironworker / Steel Erector to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and securing steel frameworks and metal structures that form the backbone of commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. Your expertise will ensure the safety, precision, and durability of large-scale metal projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your technical skills and physical strength to bring architectural visions to life with energy and precision. Duties Erect and install structural steel components according to blueprints, schematics, and engineering specifications. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery to lift, position, and secure steel beams and frameworks. Read and interpret detailed construction drawings, schematics, and technical plans to ensure accurate assembly. Coordinate with project managers, crane operators, carpenters, and other trades to facilitate efficient workflow on-site. Perform metal building erection tasks including rebar installation for concrete foundations and framing for various structures. Assist with concrete forming, finishing, masonry work, roofing, siding, stucco application, and restoration projects as needed. Conduct safety inspections regularly to maintain a secure work environment while adhering to OSHA standards. Requirements Proven experience in metal building erection, steel installation, or related construction roles with a focus on structural steelwork. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Skilled in welding techniques such as MIG or TIG welding for steel assembly. Familiarity with concrete forming, rebar installation, concrete finishing, masonry work, roofing, siding, plastering, and trim carpentry is highly desirable. Proficiency with hand tools (hammers, wrenches), power tools (drills, saws), heavy equipment operation (cranes or lifts), and scaffolding setup. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights in various weather conditions. Knowledge of construction management practices including safety protocols and site coordination. Valid certifications in welding or rigging are a plus; experience reading schematics is essential. Construction site experience across diverse projects such as remodeling or restoration is preferred. $27.94 - $75.00 per hour
