Principle Duties The Auto Worker will need to know how to operate a variety of tools ranging from pneumatic to power and hand tools. You will perform all journey-level mechanic duties including: Diagnosing, adjusting, and repairing UDC equipment. Inspecting parts for wear, breaks, and defects. Using diagnostic testing and calibrating equipment. Completing paperwork to account for parts and labor. Supervising inmate workers and working around inmates. Completing other duties as assigned. Qualifications The Ideal Candidate The best-qualified individual for this position is someone who: Has any mechanical certifications. Has at least 6 years of directly related professional experience. Is very detail oriented and willing to learn and adapt to new ways. Takes charge and has a high standard of workmanship. Has a current ASE Certification or will have one within the next six months.

Risks that require the use of special safety precautions and/or equipment, e.g., working around operating machines, working with contagious diseases or hazardous chemicals, etc. The work requires considerable and strenuous physical exertion such as frequent climbing, lifting heavy objects over 50 pounds, crouching or crawling in restricted areas, and defending oneself and/or others against physical attack.
