Job Description
Luxor Staffing is hiring a Fitter/Welder (Bilingual) paying up to $32 per hour with 2nd shift available. Weekly pay, possible overtime, incentive and bonus programs, optional direct deposit, benefits from day 1 on the job and much more! Key Responsibilities Use jigs and holding fixtures to lay out pieces to be welded according to blueprints, layouts, schematics, or work orders. Perform MIG welding on structural steel and other metals to assemble utility structure products. Operate Oxy-Acetylene torch to perform cutting of slots and holed in utility structure. Lay out and cut complex subassemblies and/or final product components. Fit and complete final welds and/or multi-pass welds to required specifications. Position pieces into jigs, fixtures, or guides using measuring instruments and hand tools. Maintain accurate and complete production records. Participate in safety initiatives and follow all company safety rules and procedures. Assist in training other employees on new tasks when required. Support other fabrication or special projects as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications & Requirements Must have prior welding experience Flux or Metal Core welding experience required in the pole industry. Bilingual (English/Spanish) Ability to accurately measure within specified tolerances. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, layouts, schematics, or work orders. Previous experience in manufacturing transmission poles or related products preferred but not required. Strong dependability, positive attitude, and teamwork skills. Physical ability to perform manual labor, including standing, lifting, and working in varied conditions. #
