Ironworker Helper 1-4 (Top Helper)
Location:
Notrees, TX Pay:
$25.99 - $31/hr
Per Diem:
$125/day for Level 4 only
Hours:
13/1 - 12-hour shifts; 13 consecutive days on site followed by 1 day off
Shift:
Day or Night Shift availability required. We are currently seeking Ironworker Helpers Levels 1-4 to support our team in constructing steel and iron structures for the build of a direct carbon capture plant in Notrees, Texas. Will provide support to Ironworkers and Welders, including material preparation, fit-up, rigging, positioning, and assisting with daily work activities. Level 1: 0-6 months of ironworker helper or industrial construction experience. Entry-level. Level 2: 6+ months of ironworker helper or related industrial construction experience. Should understand basic tools, material handling, and jobsite procedures. Level 3: 1-2+ years of Ironworker Helper experience. Must have working knowledge of structural steel, rigging, bolt-up, and assisting with fit-up. Level 4: 3+ years of Ironworker Helper experience. Must have strong knowledge of structural steel erection, rigging, bolt-up, layout/alignment, and be able to work alongside
Responsibilities:
Assist Journeyman Ironworkers with the erection, installation, and assembly of structural steel and iron. Assist with rigging, bolt-up, fit-up, alignment, and positioning of structural steel. Help Ironworkers and Welders with material handling, preparation, and positioning as needed. Safely use hand and power tools required for ironwork activities. Load, unload, stage, and move structural steel, tools, and equipment. Follow directions from Journeymen, Foremen, and other supervision. Maintain tools and work areas in safe working condition. Follow all site safety requirements, including fall protection and proper rigging practices. Perform physically demanding work and work at significant heights, including 300+ ft.
Requirements:
NCCER certification is a plus. Must possess all required tools for the level hired. Must be physically capable of climbing, lifting, bending, and performing strenuous work throughout the shift. Must be comfortable working at heights exceeding 300 ft. Must be available to work day or night shift as assigned. SSWHOgdhJJ
