This is a hands-on job site position focused on steel structure assembly, welding, and metal component installation. The ideal candidate will work closely with the foreman to complete projects on schedule, maintaining high quality and safety standards in all weather conditions.
Duties :
Read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications Assemble and install pre-manufactured steel components (columns, mainframes, girts, purlins and structural members) Install insulation, metal cladding, standing seam roofs, doors, and windows Perform structural welding, joist and deck installation, and tilt panel welding Use hand tools, power tools, lifts, and rigging equipment Align structures using levels and plumb bobs Work safely and efficiently following OSHA standards Communicate effectively and collaborate with crew and foreman Maintain a clean, organized job site Work safely and efficiently in all types of outdoor environments
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED (preferred) Certified Welder (required) 1-3 years of experience erecting metal buildings or related construction work Proficient with construction tools and equipment Comfortable working at heights and outdoors in all weather Strong teamwork and communication skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Must pass a background check, drug screening, and driving record check Must reside in
Utah Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs Able to bend, kneel, and stand for long periods Comfortable climbing ladders and working on elevated surfaces Must tolerate working in various weather conditions
