Overview The Fabricator is responsible for producing and assembling metal components used in HVAC systems by applying cutting, forming, and joining techniques to meet quality and production standards. Key Responsibilities Fabricate and assemble metal components using cutting, forming, and joining processes Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions Operate shop equipment, including shears, presses, and related machinery Inspect work to ensure it meets specifications and quality standards Work collaboratively to meet production goals while maintaining a safe work environment Key Requirements 2+ years of experience in metal fabrication, welding, or a related field Experience with welding and metal joining processes (GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, seam/spot welding preferred) Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Knowledge of shop safety practices Dependable with strong attendance and work ethic Must successfully pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening Why DMI? $19.00-$35.00 (DOE) Outstanding union benefits Steady weekday schedule Medical premium at no cost to employee Pension, 401K, paid holidays, paid vacation, opportunities for advancement and more Company Profile Founded in 1978, DMI Companies is a family-owned business and a trusted leader in manufacturing HVAC accessories for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.
