Shipfitter Trade Team USA Everett, WA Job Details Temporary | Contract $61.07 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Federal construction safety regulations Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) OSHA (regulatory compliance area) Mechanical blueprint interpretation Rulers Metal fabrication Construction plans Cutting torches Grinding tools Manual assembly Assembly drawings Oxy-fuel welding Full Job Description Shipfitters Work location Everett, WA We're looking for great Local Shipfitters in Seattle, Everett, and Bremerton. Pay will be $61.07/hr paid at a local rate for qualified shipfitters. No Per Diem will be provided for this job. Short Term Contract in Everett with plenty of Overtime! Experience You should have four or more years of commercial or naval experience as a first-class Shipfitter.

Required Skills Multi-Pass Tack Welding:

Using the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) Process. In both the Vertical Up (3F) and Overhead (4F) positions.

Burning:

Oxygen/Propane Burning Torch.

Heating:

Oxygen/Propane Heating Torch.

Blueprint Comprehension:

Understand complex structural assembly drawings, blueprints, and sketches, including weld symbols, material types, datum, and reference lines.

Fractional Dimensions:

Comprehend fractional dimensions using a ruler.

Layout Skills:

Layout piece parts for fabrication and assembly.

Assembly:

Assemble structural piece parts according to specifications with quality.

Physical Demands:

Experience in a physically demanding environment (like shipbuilding or steel fabrication).

OSHA Familiarity:

Know OSHA regulations related to the shipbuilding industry.

Vibratory Tools:

Use grinders and needle guns. Air Carbon Arc Gouging.

Work Packages:

Use Work Packages and Drawings to plan and execute work.

Molded Lines:

Use Molded Lines and Ship Reference Lines to execute required work.

Complex Shapes:

Erect, set, and makeup complex-shaped shell plates.

Decks and Bulkheads:

Erect, set, and makeup decks, bulkheads, longitudinal trunks, etc.

Hull Inserts:

Install and replace hull inserts and penetrations.

Foundations:
