Job Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Product Repair/Modifications Technician for a contract opportunity in Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes. Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul. Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment. Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components. Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components. Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results). Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements. Oversees training. Works under general direction.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
WORK HOURS
This is for a 2 shift operation (1st and 2nd shift). Personnel will be assigned to a shift based on type of experience and need.

ADDITIONAL
•This role is supporting a contract that is governed by SCA.
Occupation Code and Title:
Aircraft Mechanic II Minimum Hourly Rate=$42.69/hour Additional Hourly Benefit Allowance=$5.09 Health & Welfare Benefit (paid for all straight time hours worked up to 40 hours per week)
VACATION
2 weeks paid vacation after 1 year of service; 3 weeks paid vacation after 5 years of service; 4 weeks paid vacation after 15 years of service.
HOLIDAY PAY
11 paid holidays per year. New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birthday, Washington's Birthday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth National Independence Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
ACCRUAL OF SICK LEAVE HOURS
1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to 56 hours of paid sick leave each year.
ADDITIONAL
Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information. This work assignment has been designated as "safety-sensitive" by the Client. Contractors assigned to safety-sensitive jobs at the Client site must first complete regulatory pre-placement requirements prior to reporting to assignment. Additionally, contractors assigned to safety-sensitive work will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal mandates.
