Job Title:
Polishing Technician Job Description The Polishing Technician prepares, polishes, and finishes concrete floors using specialized tools and equipment. This role focuses on concrete polishing, filler material mixing and application, and floor sanding while ensuring high-quality, durable, and visually appealing surfaces in a field service environment. Responsibilities Perform concrete polishing on floors to achieve specified finish, shine, and surface quality. Mix and apply filler materials to repair and level concrete surfaces before polishing. Sand floors to prepare surfaces for polishing and finishing, ensuring smooth and consistent results. Set up pumps and line systems required for concrete polishing and filler application. Use hand tools and related equipment safely and efficiently during all phases of the polishing process. Inspect work areas and surfaces to identify repairs or additional preparation needed prior to polishing. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and working condition. Follow project instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards at all times. Provide field service and support on-site, adapting to changing conditions and job requirements. Assist team members and contribute to various tasks as needed to complete projects on schedule. Essential Skills Concrete polishing experience in a construction or field service environment. Hands-on experience with mixing and applying filler materials for concrete surfaces. Ability to sand floors and prepare concrete surfaces for polishing. Experience setting up pumps and line systems for concrete-related work. Proficiency using hand tools safely and effectively. Reliability, strong work ethic, and willingness to assist with a variety of tasks. Ability to work night shifts from 6:00 PM to 4:00 AM. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in construction, repair, or service work. Comfort working in field service settings at different job sites. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes. Ability to follow directions and work both independently and as part of a team. Why Work Here? Work Environment This is a field-based role in a construction and service environment, working primarily on concrete floors at various job sites. The position operates on a night shift schedule from 6:00 PM to 4:00 AM. Work involves regular use of pumps, line systems, sanding equipment, and a variety of hand tools. The job requires being on your feet for extended periods, working on active floors, and adapting to changing site conditions typical of construction and repair settings. Appropriate workwear suitable for construction and field service environments is expected. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Kent, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
