Commercial Panel Installer

  • Lead, you'll work with experienced tradespeople on a wide variety of commercial construction projects across Wisconsin.
What You'll Do Follow established safety rules and maintain a safe, organized worksite. Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications to determine layout, dimensions, and materials. Measure, mark, and cut metal panels, flashings, and furring channels using appropriate tools (hand tools, power tools, and metal cutting equipment) Install metal wall panels, flashings, furring systems, and insulation according to project requirements. Fasten and secure metal components using screws, rivets, clips, and other hardware. Verify alignment, plumb, and level of installed panels and structures. Inspect installed panels and related components for defects or damage and perform necessary repairs. Erect scaffolding or use lifts for work at elevated heights. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Remove and replace damaged or defective metal components. Coordinate with other trades and subcontractors as needed. Ensure proper sealing and weatherproofing of metal wall systems. Operate drills, saws, and other metal fabrication tools safely and efficiently. Attend and participate in worksite progress meetings Prepare cost estimates for labor and materials when required. What You'll Need To perform job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Required At least 2-5 years of commercial carpentry, façade installation, or related work.
  • Preferred Must have a valid driver's license and drive company vehicles with courtesy and according to all laws
  • Required Ability to measure and cut metal and framing materials with precision
  • Required Skilled use of hand tools, power tools, and metal fabrication tools
  • Required Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization
  • Required Ability to add, subtract, multiple, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Required Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Required Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift 50+ lbs.
  • Required Experience working on construction sites with multiple subcontractor trades.
  • Required Must be able to read a blueprint
  • Required Must be able to meet attendance requirements
  • Required Ability to work professionally with others
