We are currently looking for experienced Structural Steel Fabricators in Waunakee and Arlington, WI. A structural fabricator is responsible for creating metal structures and components from raw materials using various tools and machinery. This role requires a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Standard Working Hours:
Waunakee:
1st Shift-6:00a.m. - 3:30p.m. (Monday-Friday) 2nd Shift-3:30p.m.-3:00a.m. (Monday-Thursday)
Arlington:
1st Shift-6:00a.m.-3:30p.m. (Monday-Friday) 2nd Shift-3:30p.m.-3:00a.m. (Monday-Thursday)
Job Duties:
Design and Blueprint Interpretation:
Reading and understanding technical drawings, blueprints and schematics to create accurate components. Interpret and use prints to perform layout and welding techniques for structural steel fabrication
Cutting and Shaping:
Using tools like shears, rollers, and bending machines to cut and shape metal.
Assembly:
Putting together various metal parts to form a complete structure ensuring all components fit together correctly. Perform welding tasks as well to join metal parts securely.
Quality Control:
Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet specifications and standards. Operate equipment including welding, bolting, grinders, polishers, shearing machines, overhead crane operation and hand tools
Welding Techniques:
Proficiency in different welding methods, such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
Heat Application:
Applying precise heat to create strong, reliable joints.
Material Preparation:
Cleaning and preparing metal surfaces before welding.
Equipment Maintenance:
Maintaining and repairing welding equipment
Safety Protocols:
Following strict safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
Documentation:
Keep accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on each project. Properly use assigned PPE (personal protective equipment)
Job Requirements:
High school or general education degree (GED) required Attention to
Detail:
Strong attention to detail to ensure precision in cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the fabrication process.
Physical Stamina:
Good physical condition to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods.
Communication:
Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and supervisors. 3 years+ Structural Fabrication experience or equivalent advanced education preferred Ability to read measuring tools Team interaction and good communication skills
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Ability to fabricate products as a team member, sharing assignments to complete single units While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, squat, kneel, bend, twist and reach Use of hands and fingers required to manipulate welding gun, hand grinders and other fabrication tools Ability to push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 pounds of material Endres Manufacturing is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
