HPC Industrial powered by Clean Harbors seeks a Tech Technician LDAR I to perform Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) in industrial and energy facilities. This entry-level field role conducts inspections using gas detection equipment, documents findings, and supports maintenance teams to ensure environmental compliance and reduced emissions. Working in outdoor, industrial settings, the technician follows strict safety procedures, uses PPE, and adheres to company and client protocols. The position offers strong safety training, exposure to major energy clients, and advancement into lead or specialist roles. Responsibilities Perform LDAR inspections at energy and industrial facilities using gas detection instruments Identify, document, and tag leaks and emission sources per regulatory and client requirements Follow strict safety procedures, PPE use, and site-specific protocols in field environments Record inspection data accurately using handheld devices or paper logs Support maintenance and repair activities under supervision to address identified leaks Participate in safety meetings, training, and job hazard analyses Travel to client sites and work outdoors in varying weather and physically demanding conditions Communicate findings and status updates to supervisors and client representatives Required Skills LDAR monitoring and inspection Use of gas detection equipment Reading P&IDs and equipment tags Basic mechanical aptitude Industrial safety procedures HAZWOPER and OSHA compliance Confined space practices Data collection and field reporting Use of handheld/portable instruments PPE use and inspection
