    • The
    • Landfill Technician
    • is responsible for the installation, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of landfill gas collection and control systems and leachate management infrastructure. The ideal candidate is dependable, has heavy equipment, and SCADA systems experience. Must be able to work independently while communicating effectively with supervisors, technicians, contractors, and other site personnel. .
    • Key Responsibilities:
    • + Install, monitor, and maintain landfill gas (LFG) and leachate collection systems (wells, piping, pumps, etc).
    + Monitor gas wells and leachate systems for flow, pressure, and performance. + Adjust gas wells to optimize collection and maintain compliance. + Troubleshoot and repair leaks, blockages, pump failures, and system issues. + Collect and record field data (gas readings, leachate levels, system performance). + Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance. + Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations. + Coordinate with site personnel, technicians, and contractors to support plant reliability and overall site goals. + Assist with inventory tracking and communicate supply or parts needs to supervision. + Respond to call-outs, emergencies, and off-hours operational needs as required. .

    • + •Must pass criminal background check, drug panel screening and motor vehicle report to be eligible for employment.
    • + •High school diploma or GED required;•technical training, trade school, or related college coursework is preferred.
    + Experience in plant operations, industrial equipment, landfill gas systems, utility systems, mechanical maintenance, or a similar industrial environment is preferred. + Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to use hand tools and perform routine equipment checks. + Follow job related health and safety requirements and procedures; + Strong verbal and written communication skills and basic computer skills for logs, email, and monitoring systems. + Experience with
    SCADA, PLC
    interfaces, monitoring systems, or computerized maintenance systems is desirable. +
    • Availability for on-call support, overtime, weekends, holidays, or varied schedules as needed.

    • Work Environment & Physical Requirements
    • + Work performed primarily outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, mud, dust). + Exposure to landfill gas, odors, noise, and heavy equipment. + Ability to walk long distances over uneven terrain and slopes. + Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical labor (bending, climbing, kneeling). + Comfortable working around mechanical systems, heights, and confined spaces. .
