At Thomas & Hutton, you'll manage diverse landscape architecture projects from concept through construction, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and grow within a company celebrated as a Best Place to Work. What you'll do Lead and mentor a team of landscape architects through all phases of project delivery Manage projects from concept through construction, ensuring on-time and on-budget performance Develop innovative, sustainable design solutions for a variety of project types including parks, commercial developments, and master planned communities Collaborate with clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement design concepts Build and maintain strong client relationships, including networking, proposal development, interviews, and fee negotiations Prepare and deliver project proposals, presentations, and technical reports Ensure compliance with industry standards, local regulations, and permitting requirements Manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation Continuously improve design processes, project delivery methods, and team performance Support the growth and development of team members through coaching and mentorship What you bring Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture Professional Landscape Architect license (PLA/RLA) required 8-10+ years of experience in landscape architecture design and project management Experience across multiple project types (e.g., parks, commercial, mixed-use, master planned communities) Strong knowledge of site planning, entitlement processes, and permitting requirements Experience with project budgeting, cost estimation, and financial management Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a design team Strong understanding of sustainable design principles and best practices Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Project Submission Must submit a portfolio that demonstrates design experience and understanding of the full project lifecycle Portfolio should include built project photography, presentation graphics, and representative design materials showcasing technical and creative capabilities Why Thomas & Hutton?
