In the process of, or completed, a landscape architecture degree, urban planning degree, or similar design degree. Landscape architecture license is a bonus. Knowledge of plant species. Work or intern experience in the field of landscape architecture, land planning, or city planning is a bonus. Experience using AutoCAD, Adobe Acrobat Suite, Sketchup, Lumion, Photoshop, or InDesign is an advantage. Willingness to understand and align with FOCUS values.General Job Responsibilities include:
Through the use of a variety of software and hand sketches, create conceptual designs, site plan designs, master planning designs, planting plan designs, irrigation designs, monument entrance designs, as well as park and open space designs. Provide exceptional customer service by promptly responding to clients. Organize information to create landscape construction drawing packages for the wide array of projects that FOCUS engineers. Ensure that design deliverables meet municipal codes and requirements. Adopt and apply our defined quality control review process to ensure accuracy and quality of work. Be our client's advocate to help them efficiently navigate municipality approval. Build relationships with project managers and professional engineers to collaborate and problem-solve on a variety of projects. With clear and concise communication, coordinate with a variety of individuals involved in the development process, including coordination with local government agencies for city applications. May be required to perform administrative-type duties as required, i.e., copying and collating plans and preparing/delivering submittals. Will be expected to participate in department goal setting and accomplishment, book reviews, and personal and team development. $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per yearDOE Internships :
