President & CEO Position Summary Garden Doctors is seeking an experienced, creative, and results-driven Landscape Architect to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for meeting with residential and commercial clients, designing custom landscape plans, preparing accurate estimates, and closing landscape installation projects. This is a client-facing role that requires a unique combination of design talent, technical knowledge, estimating expertise, and sales ability. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating exceptional outdoor environments while delivering an outstanding customer experience from concept through project completion. Responsibilities Landscape Design- Meet with prospective residential and commercial clients to understand project goals and vision.
- Design innovative landscape plans using industry-standard design software.
- Prepare planting plans, hardscape layouts, irrigation concepts, lighting designs, drainage concepts, and outdoor living spaces.
- Select appropriate plant material based on Louisiana climate and site conditions.
- Present design concepts and revisions to clients. Estimating
- Prepare detailed project estimates and proposals.
- Perform quantity takeoffs for plant material, irrigation, lighting, drainage, sod, hardscape, mulch, soil, and labor.
- Coordinate with vendors to obtain current material pricing.
- Maintain profitability while remaining competitive. Sales
- Convert qualified leads into signed contracts.
- Build long-term relationships with residential, commercial, municipal, and HOA clients.
- Conduct design presentations that inspire confidence and excitement.
- Follow up on outstanding proposals.
- Meet or exceed monthly sales goals.
- Maintain accurate sales activity within the company's CRM and LMN software. Project Coordination
- Conduct site visits before, during, and after installation.
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure projects are installed according to design.
- Assist with project walk-throughs and client closeouts.
- Resolve design-related field issues when necessary. Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university.
- Professional landscape design experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of landscape design and estimating experience.
- Proven sales experience with a track record of closing projects.
- Proficiency with:
- AutoCAD
- Land F/X (preferred)
- SketchUp
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. Preferred
- Landscape Architect Licensure (preferred but not required).
- Experience with LMN (Landscape Management Network).
- Experience designing high-end residential landscapes.
- Experience estimating commercial landscape projects.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, drainage, landscape lighting, hardscape construction, and horticulture. Skills & Competencies
