Job Description
Central Louisiana State Hospital located in Pineville, Louisiana is seeking applicants for a vacant position as a Facility Project Planner 3 who prepares and evaluates extremely complex plans, specifications, and cost estimates for various recreational areas, historic sites, interpretive centers, preservation areas, building renovation and design, roads and easements, infra-structure, and multiple use facilities within a major state agency. The Facility Project Planner 3 plays a vital role for the Louisiana Department of Health in the Behavioral Health community by utilizing CLSH's values and mission to deliver quality and effective care to our patients. The hospital is highly committed to cooperative work with other state agencies and with the state and regional mental health program to insure the integration and coordination of hospital-community services into a comprehensive system of mental health care.

Oversees major architectural, landscape, and engineering design projects for the Office of Statewide Healthcare Facilities. Assesses construction, maintenance and renovation needs to assist with long-term facilities and property development planning. Manages the construction of major architectural, engineering, and interior design projects. Designs, drafts, and specifies plans for various in-house construction and renovation projects. Manages the project bidding process and provides on-site construction supervision. Oversees a diverse project portfolio, including small buildings, utility layouts, interpretive exhibits, landscaping, and roadway/parking infrastructure. Prepares Capital Outlay budget requests, including needs assessments and feasibility justifications. Generates project cost estimates and develops preliminary construction programs. Assesses potential agency land acquisitions and conducts research to identify optimal locations. Prepares and presents comprehensive feasibility reports outlining site recommendations.Position-Specific Details:
