Job Description

Project Landscape Designer 1 for IMEG Consultants Corp to work at our Boston, MA loc & may work remotely a portion of each week.
JOB SUMMARY
Support & collab on design & technical efforts as landscape designer for various project types to assist senior landscape designers/landscape architects.
JOB DUTIES
Complete various exhibits, presentation graphics & renderings. Complete concept & schematic landscape design: devise various feasibility concepts & narrow them down to preferred schematic design; schematic renderings, cost estimation, & materials plan. Site visits & tree assessments. Complete landscape & planting plans, & tree preservation plans. Review tree preservation plans. Complete research, calc & data entry for associated plans & reports. Assist w/ prep of construction docs, details & spec writing. Assist w/ cost estimating & take offs. Assist w/ landscape code research (zoning analysis as it relates to parking, landscaping, buffers, etc.). Attend client meetings w/ senior staff: take meeting notes, submit meeting notes to senior staff for review, then send to clients; prep materials for meetings incl presentation or technical docs to review. Work as part of project team to meet scheduled deadlines for project tasks & client deliverables: produce deliverables toward a bid set, incl all aspects of technical documentation from CAD site plan materials & layout, construction details, planting design, & grading; incorporate QC edits provided by senior staff; coordinate deliverables w/ other consultants (e.g. architects, civil engineers, electrical) to package deliverables for submission. Manage own time/budgeting. Provide direction for/mentor landscape architecture graduate designers (junior staff). Act as project manager on smaller projects. Job involves limited exposure to outside weather conditions & loud noises. Little travel within state of MA to visit worksites. Travel not exceeding 60 days/year. Occasional overnight stays.
Wage:
$103,792/year Must have Bachelor's in Landscape Architecture or related field; 3 years of relevant experience in land development; and required skills (3 years). Alternatively, must be ISA Certified Arborist or ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualified; 3 years relevant experience in land development; and required skills (3 years).
Required skills:
AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, & SketchUp; graphic skills; regional plant knowledge for application in planting design and field identification; MS Office Suite incl Word, Excel, and Outlook.
