Full-Time Reports to: Directions of Operations and Owner Job Summary We are a family-run landscape company looking to grow alongside a like-minded individual who takes pride in their work and values long-term growth. We are seeking a Landscape Designer who shares our core values: Growth-minded individuals, Creativity, Elevate others, Integrity, and Build Extraordinary Things. In this role, you'll be responsible for transforming client ideas into creative, build-able designs that align with their vision and our company's high standards. This position also plays a key role in the sales process— helping guide clients from initial concept through proposal by building trust, presenting designs, and supporting the conversion of opportunities into sold projects. You'll collaborate closely with clients, the sales team, and project managers to develop inspiring yet practical landscapes that exceed expectations. The right person for this role is imaginative, detail-oriented, and thrives on collaboration. We are committed to consistently exceeding client expectations, and we're looking for someone excited to grow with us and bring both design excellence and client engagement into every space we touch. Key Responsibilities Conduct client site visits independently or with sales staff to collaborate on design concepts, take measurements, and shoot elevations. Partner with the sales team during consultations to help uncover client needs, build rapport, and contribute to closing opportunities. Develop initial design concepts and sketches based on client input, site conditions, and creative direction. Present design concepts to clients in a compelling, client-focused manner that supports project buy-in and sales conversion. Manage, oversee, and occasionally assist in the rendering process to ensure timely and high-quality 2D and 3D design visuals. Assist in preparing and refining proposals, ensuring designs align with budget expectations and sales goals. Manage and track key department measurables to ensure timelines and expectations are met. Coordinate with Sales, Project Managers, and Operations to ensure smooth project execution and alignment with design intent. Maintain organized digital file structures and manage project documents across platforms. Occasional on-site plant layout is required to ensure design accuracy and visual intent. Utilize landscape-specific tools and software such as LMN, Lumion, 2D/3D rendering programs, and Google Workspace for design coordination and communication. Support follow-up communication with clients during the sales cycle to maintain engagement and momentum toward project approval. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in landscape design or a related field. Strong knowledge of planting design, hardscape elements, and spatial planning. Proficient in landscape design software (e.g., Lumion, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Dynascape, VizTerra, or similar). Comfortable with 2D/3D rendering tools and digital presentation formats. Strong organizational habits and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Qualifications Formal training or certification in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or a related field. Experience with high-end residential design or design-build firms. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
