POSITION OVERVIEW
Silver Lands, Inc. is seeking an ambitious, career-driven Landscape Designer to join our design team. This role supports HOA communities, commercial properties, and design-build projects, working closely with Landscape Architects, Project Managers, Estimators, and Construction teams from concept through installation. The ideal candidate will assist with drafting, landscape design, client coordination, site analysis, and project cost estimating, ensuring designs are functional, buildable, visually compelling, and aligned with budget and regulatory requirements. Candidates with experience in Land F/X, 3D rendering, and commercial/HOA landscape design will be prioritized.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare landscape designs for HOA, commercial, and design-build projects, including hardscape, softscape, and conceptual irrigation layouts Develop construction-ready drawings, details, and design development sets using AutoCAD Create 3D models, renderings, and presentation materials for client review Conduct independent site visits for measurements, documentation, and existing condition analysis Utilize site photos, drone imagery, and mapping tools to support design accuracy Coordinate with internal teams to ensure design intent aligns with construction methods, schedules, and budgets Participate in client and HOA meetings to present design concepts and respond to feedback Select plant materials appropriate for Nevada and Arizona climates, focusing on drought-tolerant and sustainable design Assist with project cost estimates, material takeoffs, and value engineering Prepare planting plans, irrigation layouts, and construction documentation Ensure designs comply with local municipal codes, HOA guidelines, and project specifications Support revisions and adjustments during construction phases Maintain organized digital project files and drawing version control Assist with as-built drawings and project close-out documentation Stay current with industry trends including water conservation, smart irrigation, and sustainable landscaping Qualifications & Requirements Positive, professional attitude with strong attention to detail Solid foundation in Landscape Design and/or Landscape Architecture Experience with HOA and commercial landscape projects preferred Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to manage multiple projects Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate across departments including design, estimating, and field operations Knowledge of landscape construction methods, materials, and detailing Ability to independently perform site visits and field verification Strong knowledge of plant materials for desert climates Understanding of grading, drainage, hardscape systems, and irrigation coordination Ability to design within budget constraints and ensure constructability Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or Landscape Design (preferred) or equivalent experience Minimum 3-5 years of AutoCAD experience (required) AutoCAD proficiency test required during interview process Portfolio of recent landscape design work (plans, renderings, or project photos) preferred

Revit or BIM experience GIS / ArcGIS mapping tools DynaSCAPE or similar landscape software Irrigation design tools (Rain Bird, Hunter, or similar) Procore, Buildertrend, or construction management software Familiarity with AI-assisted design or rendering tools Preferred Knowledge Areas Xeriscape and drought-tolerant landscape design SNWA water regulations and Arizona water conservation standards ADA compliance in site design Local permitting processes (Nevada & Arizona) Grading and drainage fundamentals Landscape lighting systems Hardscape systems (pavers, retaining walls, concrete, DG) What Success Looks Like in This Role Produces accurate, construction-ready plans with minimal revisions Designs align with project budgets, timelines, and field conditions Strong collaboration with field and construction teams Timely delivery of multiple design packages Positive client and HOA feedback on design quality Continuous improvement in efficiency, creativity, and technical skills Travel Requirement Silver Lands, Inc. operates in multiple states. This position may require occasional travel (up to 25%). Candidates must be comfortable traveling independently or with team members.
