Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects (NBW), with offices in Virginia and New York, is seeking an experienced Landscape Designer for its New York office. Candidates should have a minimum of five years of professional experience, including demonstrated project-management responsibility. The knowledge and diverse backgrounds of our staff enable the firm to work across a broad range of projects and respond thoughtfully to individual client needs. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong design, project management and graphic production skills, including hand drawing and rendering. Candidates should have experience across all project phases, from conceptual design through construction administration, with particular emphasis on developing and coordinating construction documents. Candidates must be detail-oriented, efficient, collaborative and adaptable to changing deadlines and priorities. Designers are expected to think critically, contribute creatively and share NBW's commitment to design excellence. Required Qualifications Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience Demonstrated project-management experience Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Working knowledge of Rhino, Lumion or comparable 3D-modeling tools and plug-ins Ability to produce and administer CAD drawings in accordance with office standards Construction-documentation and detailing experience Strong oral, written and graphic communication skills Excellent time-management and organizational skills High degree of accuracy and ability to self-edit Ability to travel and occasionally work evenings or weekends Working knowledge of GIS and Revit is preferred. Education MLA or M.Arch preferred. Candidates with a BSLA, BLA or related degree will also be considered based on experience and design strength.
