Job Description
The Landscape Design & Sales Associate is responsible for converting sales opportunities, designing functional and aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces, and managing projects from initial consultation through completion. This individual will actively build lasting client relationships and collaborate closely with operations and production teams to ensure successful project execution. We are looking for a motivated self-starter who can balance creativity, organization, communication, and sales accountability while contributing positively to the culture and growth of the company. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Landscape Design & Client Consultation Meet with residential clients to assess landscape needs, project goals, and budgets Develop creative and functional landscape designs, layouts, and material selections Conduct site measurements, photographs, and field assessments as needed Prepare professional estimates, proposals, presentations, and supporting documentation Recommend appropriate plant materials, hardscapes, lighting, drainage, and outdoor living solutions Guide customers through the design and construction process from concept to completion Sales & Business Development Follow up on incoming leads in a timely manner Build and maintain strong relationships with homeowners Track sales opportunities, customer communication, and project status Meet individual sales goals and contribute to company revenue growth Identify opportunities to upsell additional landscape or maintenance services Project Coordination & Quality Control Collaborate with production and operations teams to ensure smooth project execution Communicate project scope, expectations, change orders, and timelines clearly and professionally Monitor projects throughout installation to ensure quality standards are achieved Address customer questions and concerns promptly and professionally Maintain organized project records, notes, and documentation Team Collaboration Work closely with leadership and field teams to support company initiatives Participate in team meetings, training, and company events Support seasonal operations and additional responsibilities as needed Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of landscape design experience Knowledge of landscape construction, plant materials, and hardscape products Proficiency with landscape design software Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Preferred Qualifications Degree or certification in Landscape Design, Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, or related field Experience with LMN or other Landscape Management Software Self-motivated and goal-oriented mindset Creative problem-solving skills Strong sense of urgency and accountability Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Comfortable working in both office and field environments Passion for landscaping, customer service, and continuous growth Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary plus commission opportunities Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits Retirement plan Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays Professional development and growth opportunities Collaborative and team-oriented culture Physical Requirements Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time Ability to occasionally walk outdoor job sites, warehouse sites, and retail locations Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and electronically Work Environment This position operates primarily in an office environment with periodic exposure to outdoor work areas, retail environments, and active landscape production sites.
