We're looking for a creative, driven Landscape Designer who can turn a client's ideas into beautiful, functional, and buildable residential landscapes. This role combines design, sales, estimating, and client relationship management . You'll work directly with homeowners to understand their vision, develop thoughtful landscape solutions, present your ideas, and guide projects from concept through the beginning of construction. The ideal candidate is a talented designer who enjoys working with people, has strong attention to detail, and wants to grow within a collaborative design-build environment. What You'll DoDesign & Planning Meet with residential clients to understand their goals, preferences, lifestyle, budget, and property. Develop creative landscape concepts that balance aesthetics, functionality, constructability, and budget. Create detailed, buildable landscape plans using AutoCAD and 3D design software. Develop planting plans, hardscape layouts, outdoor living spaces, lighting concepts, and other landscape elements. Prepare design presentations, proposals, estimates, and supporting materials that clearly communicate the vision. Make design revisions based on client feedback while maintaining project scope and profitability. Conduct site visits and field measurements as needed. Sales & Client Experience Build strong relationships with clients throughout the design and sales process. Lead design consultations and confidently present design concepts and recommendations. Develop accurate estimates and proposals that align with project goals and budgets. Follow up with prospects and existing clients to move projects through the sales process. Generate and cultivate leads, particularly during the off-season, to build future project opportunities. Provide a professional, responsive, and enjoyable client experience from the first meeting through project handoff. Project Collaboration Collaborate with field supervisors, production teams, subcontractors, and procurement to ensure designs are practical and executable. Participate in project handoffs and communicate design intent to the production team. Review project budgets, costs, and profitability throughout the sales and design process. Identify potential construction challenges early and adjust designs accordingly. Participate in sales meetings, training, design reviews, and professional development opportunities. What We're Looking For 2+ years of residential landscape design, landscape architecture, or closely related experience preferred. Demonstrated experience designing residential landscapes, preferably at the high-end/luxury level. Proficiency in AutoCAD required or strongly preferred. Experience with 3D landscape design software preferred. Ability to read and understand site plans, grading concepts, construction details, and landscape plans. Strong design sense with an understanding of plants, hardscape materials, outdoor living, and landscape construction. Strong consultative sales and client relationship skills. Ability to translate a client's ideas into a cohesive, buildable design. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously. Collaborative mindset and willingness to work closely with production and field teams. Portfolio of residential design work strongly preferred. Valid driver's license. What Success Looks Like A successful Landscape Designer at Suncrest will be able to independently manage the majority of a residential design/sales process , creating designs that are both visually compelling and realistic to build.
