Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and innovative Landscape Designer and Architect to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead the conceptualization, design development, and execution of diverse landscape projects, blending artistic vision with technical expertise. Your creative insights will transform outdoor spaces into sustainable, functional, and aesthetically captivating environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from specific design features to entire residential landscapes, utilizing cutting-edge design tools and sustainable practices to make a lasting impact on communities and the environment. Duties Develop comprehensive landscape designs using software such Sketchup, incorporating client needs and site-specific conditions. Create detailed construction documentation, including drawings for hardscape elements, planting plans, irrigation systems, and grading. Utilize 3D modeling software like SketchUp and Structure Studio to produce realistic renderings and visualizations that effectively communicate design concepts. Conduct site analysis using GIS tools such as ArcView and ArcGIS to assess land features, topography, soil conditions, and environmental constraints. Collaborate with clients, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met within budget and timeline constraints. Incorporate sustainable design principles into all phases of project development to promote eco-friendly landscapes that conserve resources. Prepare project proposals, presentations, and construction estimates while maintaining clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. Skills Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Land surveying tools. Strong skills in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite for rendering and presentation purposes. Experience with 3D modeling software like SketchUp and Rhinoceros 3D for detailed visualizations. Knowledge of GIS platforms including ArcView and ArcGIS for land analysis and mapping. Solid understanding of landscape architecture principles, horticulture practices, hardscape construction techniques, and irrigation systems. Ability to produce hand-drawn sketches or illustrations to communicate initial concepts effectively. Excellent project management skills with experience in construction estimating and documentation processes. Familiarity with civil engineering concepts related to grading, drainage, land surveying, and sustainable landscaping practices. Strong client communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and incorporate feedback into final designs.
