POSITION OVERVIEW A
growing luxury outdoor living company is seeking an experienced Outdoor Living Consultant to manage clients from initial inquiry through signed contract and construction handoff. This autonomous role combines consultative sales, pool design, 2D/3D visualization, and client relationship management. The ideal candidate understands both the creative and construction sides of outdoor living and can turn a client's vision, property, and budget into a compelling, buildable design.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES SALES & LEAD MANAGEMENT
Manage leads from initial contact through signed contract. Conduct in-home and site consultations to understand goals, property, and budget. Maintain accurate CRM pipeline, follow-up, notes, and next steps. Meet or exceed sales goals. Build relationships that generate referrals and repeat business.
POOL & OUTDOOR LIVING DESIGN
Design custom pools and complete outdoor living environments. Create 2D/3D renderings and presentations using Pool Studio or similar software. Design pools, spas, patios, hardscapes, outdoor kitchens, fire features, pool houses, structures, bars, driveways, lighting, water features, decking, and finishes. Revise designs based on client feedback while maintaining budget and constructability. Ensure designs clearly communicate scope to the construction team.
CLIENT EXPERIENCE & HANDOFF
Serve as primary client contact throughout sales and design. Coordinate accurate handoffs to construction. Ensure drawings, selections, scope, and site details are complete. Support clients during construction when clarification is needed. Represent the company at showrooms, home shows, trade events, and community functions.
REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of pool design, outdoor living, residential construction, or related building experience. Pool Studio proficiency
REQUIRED.
Proven sales experience in pools, construction, landscaping, luxury residential, or outdoor living. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, site conditions, and project feasibility. Excellent communication, presentation, organization, and follow-up skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities. Comfortable working directly with affluent residential clients.
TERRITORY & WORKING CONDITIONS
Combination of showroom/office, in-home consultations, and job-site visits. Regional travel throughout Charleston, Bluffton, Beaufort, Columbia, Greenville, Cashiers, Asheville, and surrounding markets. Evening/weekend availability required based on client schedules. Periodic home shows, trade events, community marketing, and industry association participation.
