Monday-Friday Role Summary Experienced landscape designer and installation specialist with hands‑on field knowledge and strong sales ability. Adept at creating practical, buildable designs, estimating labor and materials, to ensure projects are able to be completed to spec. Combines technical understanding of plants, grading, drainage, hardscapes, and lighting with a customer‑focused sales approach. What We Offer Starting pay of $65,000 per year base, with additional commission program Company truck provided Gas card included Paid Time Off (PTO) Opportunity to grow with a respected local landscaping company Key Responsibilities Conduct on‑site consultations to assess property conditions, client needs, and project feasibility Develop landscape design concepts, plant plans, and layout sketches tailored to client goals Prepare accurate material and labor takeoffs for proposals and job costing Create and present professional proposals, estimates, and design packages to clients Manage the sales pipeline from initial inquiry through contract signing and project handoff Coordinate with installation PMs to ensure designs are executed accurately and efficiently Oversee project progress, perform site walkthroughs, and address issues or adjustments Actively build a pipeline of future projects by scouting properties, nurturing leads, and developing long‑term client relationships with builders and contractors Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the design and installation process Identify opportunities for enhancements, upgrades, and additional services Ensure all projects meet quality standards, safety requirements, and company expectations Document project details, updates, and changes in CRM or project management systems Qualifications Strong understanding of plants, soil conditions, drainage, grading, and landscape construction Ability to create design concepts, sketches, or digital plans (2D/3D preferred) Knowledge of hardscapes: pavers, retaining walls, edging, lighting, irrigation basics Ability to read site plans, measurements, and construction drawings Proven experience in landscape sales, design‑build sales, or related construction sales Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to conduct on‑site consultations and translate client needs into design solutions Experience managing a sales pipeline, follow‑ups, and closing deals Ability to estimate labor, materials, and equipment accurately Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Required to perform a clean background check Preferred Experience (Nice to Have) 3-5 years of experience in landscape design, landscape installation, or design‑build sales Experience creating design concepts, sketches, or digital plans (CAD, DynaScape, SketchUp, Pro Landscape, etc.) Familiarity with CRM systems and sales pipeline management (LMN,Monday, Buildertrend) Portfolio of completed landscape projects (designs or installs) About Artisan Landscapes Artisan Landscapes is a professional landscaping company based in Charleston, SC, specializing in high-quality residential and commercial landscape design, installation, and maintenance.
