Duties Help Independently inspects, installs, modifies, repairs, and maintains a variety of new and existing utility, supply, and disposal systems and equipment such as sewage, wer, oil, and gas distribution systems, and wer closets, tubs, backflow prevention devices/assemblies, tire sprinkler systems, and showers. Plans and accomplishes work from initial layout to final assembly which involves interpreting and applying building plans, specificions, blueprints, sketches, and other plumbing guides/codes, and using shop mhemics. Troubleshoots/tests various plumbing systems and equipment including backflow prevention devices such as reduced pressure principle devices, double check devices, mospheric vacuum breakers, and other cross connection devices. Reviews utility section work orders and drawings to determine merials and equipment needed to accomplish shop work orders. Acts as utility sections primary technical expert, point of contact for authorizing field changes to work plans and determines technical viability of work plan changes in scope, nure, and resource requirements.
