FRICTION CRANE OPERATOR R.E.
Staite is a small business, general engineering contractor with its office and marine facility located in San Diego, California. For over 75 years, R.E. Staite has specialized in marine and heavy construction, deep pile foundations, bridge construction and dredging, successfully completing projects along the western seaboard from Panama to Alaska. R.E. Staite is seeking a full time Friction Crane Operator with Pile Driving experience
Responsibilities:
Setting wood, concrete, vinyl, and sheet pilings for dock supports, seawall slabs, house foundations, etc. Dredging using a clam bucket or drag-line as well as hook work Rigging for above activities as well as for other types of material and equipment loads Assembly and disassembly of the crane and barge for maintenance or mobile projects Perform daily maintenance of crane, barge, and propulsion equipment Troubleshoot any issues associated with the crane, barge, and propulsion equipment Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
5+ years' experience as a friction crane operator w/pile driving experience NCCCO Certification for Lattice Boom Ability to make it to various project locations daily Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, initial health screening required Must be willing to work odd hours on occasion, outside of normal working hours, including nights and weekends. Must have a valid U.S. driver's license, pass a drug test, and be able to pass a federal background investigation Prioritize safety and awareness at jobsites Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, clients, and the general public at all times.
