Wellborn Knuckle Boom Operator:
The Knuckle Boom Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment, specifically knuckle boom loaders and front-end loaders, unload log trucks, cut logs to length, and transport materials to the sawmill. This role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and teamwork in a log yard environment. Requirements Proficient in operating knuckle booms, cranes, and other heavy equipment. Strong understanding of safe material handling and lifting techniques. Ability to use front end loaders. Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities. Detail-oriented with a focus on safety and operational compliance. Responsibilities Safely operate knuckle boom loader and front-end loaders. Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on machinery. Unload logs from trucks, cut them to specified lengths, and transport them to designated locations. Coordinate shipping and receiving activities with team members. Operate truck scale and ensure accurate weight recording for incoming log trucks. Adhere to company policies and safety regulations at all times.
